Public Funding is allocated based on the size of the population.

The number of ambulances, fire fighters, and other public services are determined based on the census count.

Businesses make decision on where to locate based on census data.

Questions and Concerns

No! The supreme court struck down the citizenship question from the census.

Yes! Your census information is confidential and by law, cannot be shared with any other government agency, law enforcement, or landlord. Violating the confidentiality of a respondent is a federal crime with serious penalties.

Yes! The Census online and by phone will be available in 12 non-English languages. The paper census will only be available in English and Spanish.

Print and video language guides will be available in 59 Non-English languages, including American Sign Language, Braille, and large print.

Everyone who resides in the United States is counted. That includes infants born on or before April 1st, 2020, undocumented (regardless of status), homeless, students, etc.

The number of people living or staying in a home on April 1st, relationships of each person in the home, and demographic information of each person such as race, ethnicity, gender.

No! The Census won’t ask for your social security number, money, donations, bank account, or your credit card account information.
