Do I Qualify?

Am I a Class Member for the Voluntary Return Settlement?

In February 2015, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) reached a historic settlement with the government in the case López-Venegas v. Johnson. This settlement will allow people who accepted a voluntary return and were deported to Mexico from Southern California who qualify as class members to return to the U.S. to reunite with their families and fight their case before an Immigration Judge.

Many people have been deported to Mexico, but only some have accepted voluntary return. Many people can benefit from this settlement, but many more will not qualify.

This information will help you determine if you can benefit from this settlement and what to do next if you are a potential class member.
